Rose Perl (c) 2000 Simon Johnston

This add-in allows generation and reverse engineering of PERL code.

Installation

  • Download the ZIP file.
  • Unzip the distribution into the Rose installation directory (by default C:\Program Files\Rational\Rose). It will add a directory ‘RosePerl’ into the installation directory and a new framework in the ‘frameworks’ directory.
  • Go into the ‘RosePerl’ directory and execute the batch file ‘install.bat’. This will first pop up a copy of Notepad, you will need to edit the distributed registry file to ensure that the installation directories match where you’ve installed Rose. Once you’ve ensured the paths are correct, save and exit Notepad. The script then registers the add-in DLL and registry entries, and then you’ll get this file again.
You can also read all this in the "readme.doc".

Support/Contact

This is sample/example source; it has grown from a personal project and is not supported either by the author or Rational Software Corp. No warranty express or implied – if it blows up and takes Rose or your work with it, be warned. You can contact the author for feedback: sjohnsto@rational.com

Updates

  • 16-May-2000 MMOORS fixed the "roseperl.reg" file, it was mistakenly created with Regedit 5
  • 17-May-2000 MMOORS fixed the "install.bat" file, it was calling regsvr32 without path, which does not work on each machine. Batchfile is looking for regsvr32 in system and system32 directories before executing.
